Mission Statement

To ensure the County’s financial affairs are conducted effectively in accordance with relevant Government policies and all relevant statutory and legal requirements.

This will be achieved by developing and maintaining, effective systems for financial control; effective systems for financial reporting, both internally and externally, providing sound advice on the financial implications of decisions;  effective mechanisms for the preparation of annual budgets and estimates and for the production of reliable financial forecasts;  appropriate financial policies and procedures; and interaction with others to raise the professional skills base.

09/06/2023 – The taxpayers of Rockingham County should be aware of a tax lien scam letter that has been mailed out to residents. It states that the recipient is seriously delinquent on their taxes, and it lists a phone number to call. Please note this letter is a scam. If you have questions, please call the Finance Office at (603) 679-9413.

Annual Non County Specials Funding Program

Rockingham County accepts applications every March for Non County Specials funding. This is an annual opportunity for local organizations.

How It Works:

• Updated applications and instructions are posted in mid-February each year as we prepare for the upcoming budget season.
• Eligible entities complete the required application for consideration.
• The process may include a meeting to present your request.
• Recommendations for funding are submitted to the Rockingham County Delegation for review and approval.

Current Application Cycle:
Fiscal Year 2027 (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027)
