DESCRIPTION:ROCKINGHAM COUNTY\nPublic Hearings Notice\nCommunity Development Block Grant Project\nThe Rockingham County Commissioners will hold four consecutive Public Hearings on Thursday\, August 11\, 2022\, at 3:00 pm\, at the Maureen Barrows Conference Room of the Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center\, 117 North Road\, Brentwood\, NH. Community Development Block Grant funds are available to municipalities through the NH Community Development Finance Authority (NH CDFA). Up to $500\,000 annually is available on a competitive basis for public facility projects\, up to $500\,000 for housing projects\, up to $500\,000 for economic development projects\, and up to $350\,000 annually is available for emergency activities. Up to $25\,000 is available per planning study. All projects must primarily benefit low and moderate income persons. The public hearings will be on the following: \n\nThe progress of the Rock Rimmon Cooperative\, a 93 unit manufactured housing park\, 112 Long Pond Road in Danville water and septic system improvements CDBG project.\nThe progress of the CDBG-Covid project that provides funding to service provider subapplicants for costs in preparing for\, responding to\, or recovering from Covid-19.  Participating organizations include: Seacoast Family Promise and The Upper Room A Family Resource Center.\nThe progress of the One Sky Community Services rehabilitation of 4 properties that are homes for residents with developmental disabilities.  The properties are: Woodridge House\, 14 Woodridge Lane\, North Hampton; Prescott House\, 311 Prescott Road\, Epping; Newfields  House\, 40 Newfields Road\, Exeter\,; and Homecroft House\, 78 Dame Road\, Newmarket.\nNH CDFA has made available a GAP financing pool set aside of $1\,500\,000 for projects financially impacted by increased costs caused by Covid-19.  This is a request to NH Community Development Finance Authority for up to an additional $240\,000 in CDBG GAP funding for the One Sky Riverbend Community Mental Health Millhouse Renovation project.  Due to Covid\, construction costs have increased significantly.   One Sky Community Services rehabilitation of 4 properties that are homes for residents with developmental disabilities.  The properties are: Woodridge House\, 14 Woodridge Lane\, North Hampton; Prescott House\, 311 Prescott Road\, Epping; Newfields  House\, 40 Newfields Road\, Exeter\,; and Homecroft House\, 78 Dame Road\, Newmarket.\n\nProvisions for persons with special needs\, provisions can be made by contacting the Commissioner’s Office\, by telephone (603-679-9350) or mail\, at least five days prior to the public hearing.  Please address comments to address below. \nRockingham County Commissioners\,\n119 North  Road\nBrentwood\, New Hampshire 03833\n(603) 679-9350
