DESCRIPTION:ROCKINGHAM COUNTY\, NH\nCOMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT\nPUBLIC HEARINGS \nThe Rockingham County Commissioners will hold three consecutive Public Hearings on Thursday\, January 23\, 2025\, at 3:00pm at the Maureen Barrows Conference Room\, 117 North Road\, Brentwood\, NH . Community Development Block Grants are available to municipalities through the NH Community Development Finance Authority. Up to $500\,000 annually is available for economic development projects\, up to $500\,000 for public facility projects\, up to $500\,000 for housing projects\, and up to $500\,000 for emergency activities. Up to $25\,000 is available per planning study grant. All projects must directly benefit a majority of low and moderate income persons. Public hearings shall be held on the following items: \n\nA proposed application to the Community Development Finance Authority for up to $750\,000 in Supportive Housing Funds or $500\,000 in CDBG Housing Funds.  Of the grant funds\, up to $30\,000 ($40\,000 if Supportive Housing Funds) will be retained by the County for administrative/labor compliance costs associated with the project\, the remaining funds will be subgranted to One Sky Community Services to be used toward the acquisition and/or rehabilitation of 1 four-bedroom home of supportive housing at 53 Cottage Rd.\, Kensington\, NH 03833.\nThe Anti-displacement and Relocation Assistance Plan for the One Sky Community Services Proposed Project.\nThe Housing and Community Development Plan.\n\nProvisions for persons with special needs can be made by contacting the Commissioner’s Office via telephone (603-679-9350)\, or mail\, at least five days prior to the public hearing. \nRockingham County Commissioners\n119 North Road\nBrentwood\, New Hampshire 03833
